Eating the map

I helped Zenock's class make edible maps today. They used rice crispy teats, frosting, pretzels, big marshmallows, lettuce, and gumdrops. They have been studying maps for the last three weeks, learning about the compass, how to draw maps on a grid, landmarks, etc. This was the final project for the section. All of the kids LOVED it! Especially when Mrs. Byrne told them they could have a bite of it after everyone was finished building. This is Zenock's group. The girl next to him is holding up their grid of the edible map on the table.
