The fox says....

What does the fox say? Dingdingdingdingdingding. Thanks to the fabulous girls who sometimes babysit out kids! To find out what the fox really says, check it out on youtube. The music video is quite hilarious, while the tune is really catchy. Zenock knows almost all the words and sings it all the time.

Runaway Undies!

This kid is so hilarious! She is ALWAYS finding clean underwear around the house. I don't know if she goes in the boys drawers to find them, or if they forget to put some away on laundry day. Regardless, here's a funny video of our little runner from last night. I loved it so much that I submitted it to AFV. I hope it ends up on the show!

Words

Ayla has added help, off (both sound the same), and woof to her vocabulary. Her and Gideon also know what a fox says thanks to a babysitter we have had come a few times.

Cornerstone Park

Yesterday was such beautiful weather. We have actually had a very springy weathered March so far. Of course, spring here is like June in Idaho. We made a picnic dinner and enjoyed it at a park we haven't ever been too. The kids loved throwing rocks into the water. Brady tried showing the boys how to skip rocks, coming to the conclusion that rough landscaping rocks are no match for smooth flat river stones we find along Idaho riverbanks. For those familiar with Henderson, Cornerstone Park is a new wetland area west of Winco on Stephanie. It's a huge park with lots of picnic areas and grass to play on. There's also a nicely paved trail along the water.

Lady Antebellum Concert Videos

Date number 6!

We checked off my bucket list and went to my first music concert last night. It was really fun, and REALLY loud! Half way through Brady went in search of ear plugs, finding some at the info desk at the front of the event center. Apparently they have enough for everyone, all you have to do is ask for some. Next time we'll be sure to ask for some right when we get there so we can enjoy the whole concert. We saw Kasey Musgraves, Kip Moore, and Lady Antebellum. Kip didn't have great show skills, in my opinion, but his songs were pretty good. Kasey was amazing, and so was Lady A. I have really come to love country music in the last couple of years because most of it is clean, and about real life...unlike a lot of new pop songs out now. We had such a great time singing along to the songs together. We also enjoyed PF Changs for dinner before....sooooo good! I've only eaten there twice, each time was amazing!

Here Hilary was singing with a 6 year old girl who knew all the words to the song. It was so sweet. Above is her down in the audience, below is what it looked like on the big screen.

More sewing for Ayla

Capri pants I made her to go with a really cute navy tunic with red and pink cherries on it. I couldn't find red shorts or pants anywhere for a price I was willing to pay, so I made some because who can resist using a 50% off fabric coupon? A whole yard of this fabric cost me $6, and for that I can make capri's for both of us.
I embellished this plain shirt with a crochet flower....also from Joann's thanks to a coupon ;)
This is also an embellished tshirt...with a skirt attached. It's a tshirt dress, something I've wanted to make for a long time. I did all of these things last Friday at our monthly project night. I remember the capri's took me about an hour to do from start to finish...and sewing the flower on was about 10 minutes. I had such a fun time checking stuff off my sewing list and hanging out with some wonderful ladies in our ward.

Easter dresses are DONE

The front of mine. It's a maxi style, going all the way to the floor. Just two pieces of navy and royal chevron knit. I was even to lazy to cut sleeve pieces, just making them part of the body as well. I sewed this baby up Friday night during our monthly project night. It was a very fast project, and for that I am thankful. I don't do well when things take weeks or longer to finish.
Ayla's is also a maxi style, so hopefully she'll be able to wear it for quite some time before it gets too short. I made hers the same way, with just two pieces of knit, including the sleeves in the body piece.

Disney shirts

I was asked to make shirts for a family's Disney trip over spring break. Here is what I did for them. It was really fun, not too hard, and really nice to get paid to do the crafty stuff I love.

Happy Kids

Friday morning the tv didn't come on once during our get-ready-for-school time. Ammon was reading an animal book to the little kids and Zencok was reading Fly Guy. I was astounded how happy, cooperative, and involved they all were with each other.
This is Friday night sleep-over-night. Zenock loves coming down off the top bunk to cuddle with his brothers the whole night. No matter how old they get, I think sleeping kids look adorable

Playing and independence

He played blocks with Brady. The obvious goal was to build a very tall tower.
He wanted to put oil on his chest and feet by himself, like he refused to let me help at all. Here he is rubbing it in on the bottoms of his feet, and he was really mad that I took a picture.

Homework

Gideon's first homework assignment was to decorate a dinosaur picture. They are doing a dino unit the whole month, so he is learning lots of fun things. He loved using the "glue."

Cuteness from Ayla

The first 2 are from driving up to Idaho. She got to play in the drivers seat for a bit during a pit stop. The next one is Ayla checking out Grandpa's phone. Then she was making goofy faces on the way home, with an armload of animals. She was one happy camper with all of those fluffy friends.

Errands with Mom

These two love to drive the cars at the store, however, they do not like having it move when quarters are put in. The other picture is from the park today. I was up on the slide area with Ayla, and Gideon was playing below. He was following a girl around about his age and climbed up there by himself. He wasn't pleased when he figured out he couldn't get down himself. He did discover he could see the tractors working nearby, which is what he was pointing at. We love the park!

Using a spoon

Isn't she cute! I think this is only the second or third time she has successfully used a spoon. I also think she eats a little better while using one, as apposed to her hands....either way, eating is still a messy process for this girly.

Lehi, UT and my latest creation

I didn't do a fantastic job getting all the kids together for a photo...but honestly, everyone was super happy to be playing with cousins and not stuck in the van anymore. Thanks Uncle Ronny for putting up this swing set before you went to work so my kids could enjoy it too!

Thank you Christa for the delicious "taco truck" tacos and for the two hours of entertainment outside of our van. We all love you and next time can't come soon enough!

I have wanted to make a mesh wreath for quite a while now. I found the supplies at a great sale in Joann's last week, so I bought some stuff and read some tutorials Friday night. During nap time on Saturday, I put this thing together in about an hour. Honestly, these things sell online for 80 to 100 bucks. Holy crap!! I spent a little over $10 on supplies and an hour of my time. Seriously, who would pay and arm and a leg for something so easy to do?? I think this beauty says HELLO SPRING!

Camera bombed

This is what happens when my camera is left unattended in the kitchen. Thanks Kacey!

I don't think Lizzy thinks this is as fun as you do

Hi Mom! Nice to see a surprise picture of you on here :)

Dude, Dad. Did you leave any milk in the jug?

Is that a bagel, or a donut? I can't tell...but she loves it, so who cares?

Thanks for the great surprise pictures Kacey. Once again, you rock. Don't tell the other siblings I said that....after all, we aren't supposed to have favorites, right Mom?

Sledding videos

Sledding with the boys at my parents house. The four wheeler one is with me and the 3 boys in the sled with Brady driving. The others are on the hill, across the street from their house. I grew up sledding this hill my whole life. It was fun then, and it's still fun now. There was supposed to be rain the whole weekend we were there, and it turned out to be snow instead. Saturday they got about 4 inches. Ammon and Zenock were thrilled to get to play in the snow.

SNOWWW

I made this little dude for Gideon. It's the first snowman I've built in 4 years.

All he wanted to do was play in the snow with his tractor.

Zenock and Ammon built this one. It just may be their first snowman they built themselves without adult help. Way to go!

The best part about snow isn't the playing in it, it's the eating it :)
