I have a new recipe to tell you about. We were at Walmart today and Ammon spotted the "tasting table." So we went to see what they had. It was a sample of frozen pasta from Macaroni Grill, from the freezer section. It fed 4 people for $6.98 a bag. I knew we could do better than that and have leftovers.
2-3 grilled chicken breasts, chopped ($2.00)
1 jar alfredo sauce ($1.33)
1/3 bag frozen spinach, chopped ($1.00)
1 box bowtie noodles ($1.00)
Letting your 3 yr old pick a dinner that he actually eats and LOVES (priceless)
Cook the noodles until almost done. Add spinach. Drain and return to pot. Add alfredo sauce and chicken. Cook until heated through.
So easy, so cheap, and we have enough left over for another entire meal. I didn't have any extra veggies or bread with it today, and it was filling enough for all of us. I am excited to not have to do dinner tomorrow too! I love cheap dinners. I love Walmart, and I love their generic selection. But most of all, I love that Zenock liked the pasta in the store and kept asking to have it for dinner tonight. It is so nice to have something that he loves.

That IS priceless! Any, you probably have a lot less preservatives, more portions as you mentioned, and your children will know how incredible you are!
Umm, "Any" = "And". I really should proof read.
When we tried it in the store I did think it was a little salty, and the "made from scratch" stuff is better. Hopefully it tastes good tomorrow too!
